About Chris
Chris was born and grew up in New Caledonia, a french island located in the Pacific Ocean, approximately 1,200 km from the East Coast of Australia.
He attained a Masters of Mechanical Engineering in Paris and worked in Belfast Northern Ireland in the Automotive Industry for 6 years. His yoga journey began when he moved to Australia in 2014.
What was initially a physical practice only, quickly became more as his practice and knowledge of yoga deepened. Chris particularly enjoyed the mindfulness of breath and movement, and this incredible feeling of centredness, grounding and peace after each practice.
From Engineering to Yoga Teaching
After 10 years working in the engineering field, Chris decided to shift his focus solely to teaching yoga and completed his 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Monica Gauci and Gregor Maehle in 2018 (8 Limbs Yoga).
Being an engineer at heart, Chris loves movement patterns, how everything fits together…in many ways yoga is very similar to engineering! It requires focus, discipline and practice, with the added bonus of mindful breaths and movements!
Chris is also a certified Remedial Massage Therapist, which complements his enthusiasm for movement and his dedication to assisting individuals in reaching their full potential.
In his classes, Chris aims to share his love of yoga and respect for the practice to inspire students to discover their own path, with an emphasis on Pranayama and Meditation.
As well as teaching strong practices, Chris loves restorative and nourishing yin yoga classes. He completed his yin Yoga Teacher Training with Bryce Tunny and is a certified Prenatal Yoga teacher.
Chris provides private yoga classes, as well as corporate sessions for groups and events. He also teaches regular classes at various studios around the Brisbane area.
Chris’s classes are fun, intelligently sequenced, and will make you feel good!
